On 7 October 2026, Ms. Hamah Hosen and Ms. Bonosree Sarker from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australian High Commission, visited the PHALS Soap Production Center at Camp 20. During the visit, Ms. Ghulam Sarah Mohammad , Manager Social Cohesion, IOM, and Mr. Mahfuz, Chemist at the PHALS Soap Production Center, provided a brief overview of the soap production process, products, and the center’s activities.The visit provided an opportunity to share insights into PHALS’ efforts to promote livelihoods, social cohesion, and locally led humanitarian initiatives in the Rohingya response.
