A Brief History About PHALS
PHALS (Programme for Helpless and Lagged Societies) S is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) founded in Cox’s Bazar by a young social workers group in 1992. PHALS works mainly to empower the poor and marginalized communities through involving in various committee and providing capacity building initiatives. To attained it’s Goal, PHALS offers various opportunities for children such as quality education, health facilities and IGA opportunity for women, child Protection linking with sector and GOB line department, Livelihood on disaster Resilience, Promotion to human rights /Refugee Rights especially on livelihood for the dignity life of vulnerable people both Host and Rohingya community . In addition, PHALS has given emphasis to the end of violence against women and child, Conservation. Organization has the capacity for undertaking several activities like issue based project/program, research, good governance, workshops, seminars and advocacy on several crucial steps which contributed for the betterment of Cox’s Bazar lagged peoples . By this time it obtained recognition from government and others network and proved his potentiality to achieve the organizational objectives very successfully. Moreover PHALS actively participated for the well-fare/ development of Rohingya community after influx in 2017. On the other hand PHALS has also holding a good reputation both district and local administration.
LEGAL STATUS OF PHALS
PHALS has been following constitution as approved from Directorate of Social Service
