National Seminar on “Advancing Localization Practices in Bangladesh” Held Under ToGETHER 2.0 Project

Under the ToGETHER 2.0 Project, the Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) and the Network for NGO Coordination and Humanitarian Assistance in Bangladesh (NAHAB) jointly organized a National Seminar on “Advancing Localization Practices in Bangladesh” on 12 October 2025. The event was graced by Mr. Md. Daud Miah, ndc, Director General of the NGO Affairs Bureau and Additional Secretary, who attended as the Chief Guest. Mr. Netai Chandra Dey Sarker, Director (MIM, C.C.), Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief (MoDMR), attended as the Special Guest. The seminar began with welcome remarks from Mr. Nazmul Bari, Executive Director of CDD, followed by a keynote presentation delivered by Mr. Md. Roushon Ali of NAHAB and Ms. Taslima Akter Keya from CDD. Mr. Arif Dewan, Country Project Coordinator of Malteser International, outlined the objectives and expectations of the seminar. Mr. Abu Murshed Chowdhury, Executive Director of PHALS, moderated a high-level panel discussion on Equitable Partnership, Risk Sharing, Quality Funding, Strengthening Coordination, and Complementarity. The panel featured distinguished discussants, including Mr. Md. Daud Miah ndc, Mr. Md. Rafiqul Alam, Chairperson of NAHAB, Mr. Kazi Shahidur Rahman, Disaster Risk Management Expert, NORCAP, Ms. Salma Mahbub, Founder and General Secretary of B-SCAN, and Ms. Rabeya Begum, Executive Director of SDS.
