PHALS Conducted an Orientation on Organizational Capacity Assessment Tools for Peer Humanitarian Partners (PHPs)
PHALS conducted a comprehensive orientation session on the Capacity Assessment Tools for Three Peer Humanitarian Partners (PHPs), Ornab, ASTA Foundation, and Suzala Mahila Samiti (SMS) on 15th May 2025. The orientation aimed to enhance the understanding and application of Malteser International’s standardized tools for assessing organizational capacities.
A total of 17, including 9 males and 8 female PHP members, actively participated in the full-day session. The orientation covered 15 core competency areas in detail, providing participants with a clear framework to assess and strengthen their organizational capacities. These areas included governance, human resources, financial management, logistics, program delivery, accountability, and other essential areas for effective humanitarian response.
Throughout the session, participants demonstrated a high level of engagement and interest. They actively contributed to discussions, asked insightful questions, and shared reflections on how the tools could be applied within their respective organizations. Participants also expressed appreciation for the structured approach and clarity provided by the tools, noting that the orientation significantly improved their understanding of capacity development processes.
This initiative reflects PHALS' ongoing commitment to strengthening local humanitarian actors through structured capacity-strengthening efforts aligned with international standards.
